Mission
The cornerstone to the success of Inspired Medical, Inc., is based on the life philosophy that our founder (Bret Lumpkin) has which is to be “honest, fair, and keep your word.” Shortly after beginning his sales career, he added “look out for your customer’s best interests, because if you don’t, they will find someone else that will."

Vision
He started in medical sales in 1990 in Birmingham, Alabama. Product lines were added and in a few years the territory expanded to the entire state. Sometime during the fall of 98 he found that he didn’t enjoy getting up and going to work anymore. He loved his work, but didn’t love dealing with the problems of the past months that reflected on his credibility with customers. Many of the companies that he worked for had started increasing prices without any notification after orders were placed with them, substituting product without customer’s approval, or lowering product quality without explanation. It seemed much of his time was spent talking with unhappy customers and fighting manufacturers to get the products and service as promised. He knew that to continue in this field he needed to find a way that embodied his values.

Realization
After 2+ years Inspired Medical, Inc., became an entity in May of 2001, because of inspiration. You might be surprised by the fact that Inspired Medical, Inc., is a small company with fewer than 10 employees, and provides equipment and supplies to the rehabilitation market in the southeastern United States.
